GISHWHES team awesome

Hey guys!

Alright. So. Basically, as has been mentioned GISHWHES starts tomorrow. Are you prepared? Hope not. Because that would be no fun at all.

I was reading on the site, and the crew said that it would be wise for teams to designate a “sender”; a person to whom everyone on the team can send their items to, and who will be able to sumbit them onto the site. Also, we should probably have a “pre-sender”. So, the process would sort of look like this:

For all of the items being sent in, the pre-sender is gonna be the one to organize/sort through/send back (if necessary) the entries, and eventually put them all into one e-mail to the sender, who then doesn’t have to think twice about pressing the submit button. This just sort of ensures that we’re getting at least two sets of eyes on all the items.

All of us should try our best to do each item, and the pre-sender is gonna have to make the decisions (with help from the rest of the team, of course) to pick the item we want to send off. They’ll probably be posted on the tumblr/fb so everyone can take a quick vote. Votes can’t very long, though. We’ll find ways of communication. People in the same counties should probably exchange numbers, just so contacting each other is that much easier.

Despite GISH being super crazy and chaotic at its core, we’re probably head and shoulders above a lot of other teams if we get organized.

There are a few people who won’t get it for a bit though, the people in Canada. Sorry, it’ll just take me a while to fill out the forms I need to fill to complete the transaction >.

Okay, so I believe that people have had a long enough warning for this? 

T-shirts have been sent out today, however not all people have given me the proper payment, so as a result all of the money will be due by this date:

please gather your money and send it BEFORE this date, and tell me when you’ve sent it so I can check you off the list

If you do not get the money in by this date/have failed to message me about it, I will message you and ask when/where the money is. Please message me in advance if you have problems with money (ex: don’t get your paycheck, don’t know the address or the paypal, etc)
